Appendix 5: Tripwire Setup After installing all the required software, such as the backend Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server Management Studio Express, on a test- bed point-of-sale workstation (POS TEST-STATION), the next step is to install the system integrity checking software (Tripwire for Servers and Tripwire for Manager). Hence the following steps are the installation steps of Tripwire software. Installation of Tripwire for Server – Version 4.8 Step 1: Create the Tripwire initial policy file.
