LA SCOLCA - GAVI
This estate lies in the region of Gavi di Gavi in southern Piedmont. It
is made of 100% Cortese which is a delicate fragrant variety offering
crisp acid, aromas of white peach, blossom and citrus. The average age
of the vines is 60 years which adds to the concentration and finesse of
the wines of La Scolca. The Estate is today run by Giorgio Soldati (the
founder’s great-grandson) and his daughter, Chiara, who is representing
the 5 th generation. The grapes are hand harvested and the wine making
is very protective in order to retain the freshness and delicacy of fruit.

Elena Walch is a family-run estate in Alto Adige and belongs to the elite
in Italian wine production. Encouraging quality and innovation, Elena
Walch stood at the helm of the revolution in quality winemaking from
the region, receiving local and international acclaim for her efforts. An
architect by trade, she married into one of the oldest and most significant
wine families of the region and brought new, modern concepts to the
traditional establishment. Now, the responsibility for the family business
is being put into the hands of the daughters, Julia and Karoline Walch,
already the fifth generation.

TERLANO - ALTO ADIGE
Based in Alto Adige in the mountains of the Sud Tyrol. Close to the
border with Austria the vines are grown at an altitude of between 250
and 900 meters. Indeed, this is a Cooperative, but of the very highest
quality, producing wines that display powerful varietal and terroir driven
character that can only come from excellent viticulture and wine making
practices. Including manual harvest and selection of grapes with gentle
whole cluster pressings.
