These notes form an enhanced version of the lecture notes for the M. Sc. course,<br />

<strong>Basic</strong> <strong>Analysis</strong>, presented in the Department of Mathematics at King’s College,<br />

London. It is a pleasure to thank Dr. Frank Jellett for many enjoyable discussions.<br />
