Here is an exciting thriller, “The Night She
Disappeared” by Lisa Jewell. Tallulah and Zach are
living with Tallulah’s mum after their son, Noah, is
born. Tallulah is attending college and has met a girl
called Scarlett who is a really popular girl. One night,
Tallulah and Zach go out to the local pub for dinner
and a few drinks, while Kim, Tallulah’s mum, looks
after Noah. After a while, Scarlett comes into the pub
and joins them at their table, and later invites them
and her friends back to her house for a pool party.
That is the night that changed everything: Tallulah
and Zach never return home. Kim finally contacts the
police to try to find her daughter. A year later, there
has been no new information on their whereabouts.
Sophie and Shaun move into a cottage on the
grounds of the school where Shaun has a new job as
head teacher. Their new home is on the edge of the
woods near the estate where the young couple
disappeared the year before. Sophie is a writer of
detective novels, and one day, when out for a walk
into the woods, she sees a cardboard sign that reads
“dig here”, so she gets a trowel and starts to dig and
finds something that could be a clue to the couple’s
disappearance, and so the case fires back up again.
This book is full of suspense and you won’t be able
to put it down, as you want to follow the trail to find
the missing couple. I hope you will enjoy reading
this book as much as I did.
