wonderful time. This is the nicest Island I have been on. The people here are very friendly and they are not selfish
like the people on other Islands. They try to make me think that I am at home, but I miss you and the family very
much. I am staying at the South Bridge Hotel and they are very nice to me here. Oh yes I left Trinidad before I
got your letter so I had them forward it here but I haven't got it as yet. Mom I don't know exactly when I will get
home but it won't be very much longer maybe a month or so. You know that the "Pilgram" went down or did I tell
you in my other letter. Mom has Rufus went to the Army yet or is he still at home. Tell Eva and Elsie that I still
love them and will see them soon. Mom I'm sorry I had to leave home and go to sea. I know you didn't want me to
But you know I tried to join the Army and the Navy but they wouldn't have me. I thought I would do more good
going to sea than to stay ashore. I have been torpedoed once but I haven't lost my nerves. I'm still going to sea
when I get back. How is Pop Mom, give him my love Write Dan and Harvey for me and tell them that I think of
them often. Mom I guess I will close for this time With Lots Of Love and Best Wishes, Your Loving Son, Harold
F. Webster Hoping to hear from you soon. P.S. Answer soon by air Mail.
