Notes for BENJAMIN FRANKLIN 'FRANK" COLLINS:
Frank was elected City Marshall of Abilene to clean up the town and maintain peace and order. Zeno Hemphill
was a gambler, and Frank closed his gambling house. So he had it in for Frank and met him in a store one day and
commenced shooting. Someone ran out and got Walter Collins. Walter and Zono were killed outright, and Frank
died a few days later. Frank was Marshall of Abeline, Texas and was shot and later died, helping his brother
Walter Collins, arrest Zeno Hemphill. Frank died at Abilene, Texas on Jan. 14 1884, and was Buried there.
