Martha Cornelia Williams Collins died Jan. 3, 1944. Last rites for Mrs. Martha Cornelia Collins were held at New
Hope Cemetary Wednesday afternoon, January 5, 1944 at two o'clock with the Rev. J. T. McCafferty and Rev.J.
H. Holder officiating. Mrs. Collins who was born in Montgomery County July 10, 1856 passed away at her home
near Winona after an illness of a few days with pneumonia. Her life was beautiful and rich in love and service.
She was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church.
Surving are four daughters, Mrs Cora Stevens of Jackson, Mississippi, Miss Fannie Collins, Mrs Pearl Johnson
and Mrs Mattie Durham, all of Winona and two sons, H. W. Collins of Birmingham and A. T. Collins of
Okolona. A sister Mrs. Amanda Stafford, seventeen grandchildren ans 12 great grandchildren also survive.
