Cooper County, Mo. 17 Feb 1863. These facts lead me to believe that Sarah was the 2nd wife of Richard, and
Samuel R., their son (Dillards half brother).
All members of Samuel's family, including his sister Frances Madison Kincaid and her family were members
of the Lamine Christian Church.

1787 in Boones Station, Kentucky, and died January 17, 1860 in Goss, Marion County, Mississippi. He married
(1) LUCY BROWNFIELD STATHAM Bet. 1804 - 1836. She was born Bet. 1783 - 1803, and died Bet. 1818 - 1887.
He married (2) SUSAN BURROW Bet. 1818 - 1824 in Tenn.. She was born July 14, 1790 in Tenn., and died
October 27, 1828 in Marion County, Mississippi.

Nathaniel married twice. First to Susan Burrow, "Somewhere in Tennessee, just across the line from Alabama".
His second marriage was to Mrs. Lucy Brumfield Statham (also listed as Broomfield and Bloomfield). She was
previously married in Sept. 1815 to Barkdale Y. Statham.
He was a private in the 1st (Dyers) Tennessee Volunteer Mounted Gunmen from 9-28-1814 to 4-27-1815. He was
in Capt. Samuel Crawford's Company of Militia in the "Battle of New Orleans", La. There is a traditional story
that he had a horse shot out from under him in that battle. He was discharged in 1815 at Nashville, Tenn. In Sept.
1818 he signed a power of attorney to collect his claim for that horse. He lived in Hickman Co., Tenn., following
