Thomas left his home in Choctaw County, Alabama soon after the death of his father in October of 1862, setteling<br />
in Leon County, Texas. His children by Emma Mae was raised by her father Zoraster Robinson.<br />
Thomas Jefferson Collins was a registered voter in Precint # 1 of Leon County, Texas, November 25, 1869. He<br />
stated that he was from <strong>Mississippi</strong> and had resided in the state of Texas and Leon County for three years.<br />
From 1871 to 1878 Thomas Jeffeson Collins was a member of the Masonic Order, Leona Lodge # 39 of Leon<br />
County, Texas.<br />
His will was probated in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas on 10 December 1914.<br />
