One of the premier fine-dining restaurants in the region, the
Defregger Stuben, has 1 culinary philosophy: to sweep you off
your feet and take you on a wonderful taste bud journey with
Gault Millau chef Tomek Kinder. With only 8 tables available we
strongly advise to book ahead. The seasonal a la carte menus
will leave you with an unforgettable dining experience.
Stain
For lunch the Defregger Stuben serves up a delectable and
refined menu. So refined in fact it deserves its own name, Stain.
Every meal on the menu is created by chef Tomek Kinder, a
sublime blend of regional flavours and Mediterranean influences.
Seasonal ingredients are transformed into masterpieces to
create a remarkable lunch.
Garden Terrace
The ideal spot to enjoy life, watch the world go by, and bask in the
warm glow of the sun. During the spring and summer months
the outdoor terrace is transformed into a restaurant, boasting
lovely views over the mountains. A great spot for a coffee, light
lunch, or snack. In the evening it’s the setting for the Defregger
lounge’s garden.

Villanders.
The village has a long and rich
history which is intertwined with
the hotel itself. Castles played a
key role in fortifying the village and
consolidating power for the Lords
of Villanders. Today the castles
are well preserved and offer a
great opportunity to observe fine
historic architecture. Villanders is
also known for its extensive mines
which are open to the public. The
surrounding mountainous area
is popular among hikers and for
Törggelen.
