ACCOUNTING
The Association of Accounting Technicians
(AAT) is the world’s leading professional
membership body for accountants and it is also
the UK’s largest awarding body of skills-based
qualifications in accounting. An AAT Accounting
qualification will start you on the path to a
successful accounting and finance career.
Recognised by leading employers in the UK and
around the world, this is the perfect qualification
whether you’re starting out, already working in
finance, or looking to gain the skills to
change career.
You’ll learn practical skills to prime you for the
workplace, from basic finance administration
skills, preparing final accounts, through to
complex management accounting tasks.
You will get to grips with high level accounting
tasks such as drafting financial statements,
managing budgets and evaluating financial
performance, and you will also be able to
choose from optional modules such as
business tax, personal tax and auditing
and assurance.
To get your qualification, you will sit a series
of computer-based assessments which take
place at the College but are set and marked
by the AAT.
Upon successful completion you can go on
to professional membership and use the
designatory letters MAAT after your name.
You can further your qualifications with one
of the Chartered Accountancy Bodies.
