A Higher Level Apprenticeship combines onthe-job
training with studying for a Level 4 or 5
qualification, nurturing your talent and enabling
you to acquire additional skillsets that will make
you an asset to the company you work for.
A Level 4 apprenticeship is equivalent to the
first year of an undergraduate degree, or a Higher
National Certificate (HNC), whereas a Level 5
apprenticeship is equivalent to a foundation
degree, or a Higher National Diploma (HND).
Higher Level Apprenticeships are either 95%
or 100% funded by the Government, depending
on your age and your company’s size.
If you’re not an existing employee but would
like to apply for a Higher Level Apprenticeship,
you will need to apply for vacancies listed on
our website. Entry requirements differ from
employer to employer.
Most employers will require you to have a Level
3 qualification related to the apprenticeship you
are applying for, as well as GCSEs in English
and Maths.
You will spend the majority of your time on the
job completing additional training and the rest
of your time completing theory-based learning
at the College.
We currently offer Higher Level Apprenticeships
in business, early years education, dentistry and
engineering.
