If you’re mad about computers and are looking
for a career with job security, the computing
industry is extremely lucrative. The UK has
more computing vacancies than qualified
people to fill them. There’s no shortage of
computing courses at Bradford College and
we have covered every aspect of the sector
by offering a variety of computing specialisms.
Whether you want a fast-track to employment
by studying for a HNC or prefer to widen the
breadth of your knowledge and skills by taking
the full HND, we offer flexible routes to studying
computing. You have the option of studying for
a generic HNC or HND in computing or picking
a computing course with specialist pathway.
For those already employed in the computing
industry, you have the option of studying a
part-time route as a Higher Level Apprenticeship
(this excludes Cloud Computing).
We offer specialisms in Cyber Security and
Data Analytics which are studied in the second
year of the diploma. Alternatively, you can
choose to specialise within a year by opting for
the HNC option. For a particularly niche route,
you can choose to study for a HNC or HND in
Cloud Computing.
It’s important that you get real world experience,
that’s why we have teamed up with industry
partners to mentor you as you develop a “live
project.” You will showcase your finished project
at our annual Project Open Day and engage with
the professional computing community.
If you complete a HND and want to take your
knowledge further, you can progress on to one
of our top-up degrees. You might decide to
get some experience in the industry first
before returning for a top-up programme
in Information Systems Management,
Networking Infrastructure and Security
or Software Engineering.
With your higher technical qualification in
computing, you will be ready for roles such
as IT technician, business and data analyst,
cyber security technologist, IT developer
and programmer.
Industry partnerships
You will benefit from partnerships with CISCO,
Amazon Web Services Academy and CompTIA.
