Publisher’s Note
October is our favorite issue of the year, the one we celebrate with
everyone embracing Latino culture with the observance of Hispanic
Heritage Month. This issue is unique because we host a party that
brings together our sponsors, readers, community leaders, and friends,
and we get to see each other and experience the strong community we
continue to build in person beyond the pages.
I hope you find the inspiration to visit Latin America in the upcoming
holiday vacations and immerse yourself in the culture we proudly
represent in the USA. Our MSY-Latam article will give you some
ideas. You may have heard that Hondurans makes up the most
significant percentage of the Latino population in New Orleans, and
we tell you how bananas are the reason for that. If you have not tried
Peruvian food in New Orleans, it’s time you do! Learn about Tito’s
Ceviche & Pisco and get transported to Peru from Uptown New
Orleans and St. Charles Avenue.
