H.E. Annika Markovic with Agneta and Reinhart Waneck and Gertrud Tauchhammer
SOCIETY publisher Gertrud Tauchhammer and the Swedish
Ambassador in Vienna, H.E. Annika Markovic, invited to
a festive reception on the occasion of the presentation of
the summer issue of SOCIETY with an extensive focus on
Sweden, which held the EU presidency in the first half of
2023. Aside from former Austrian Chancellor Brigitte Bierlein,
former US Ambassador to Austria and assistant to
Ronald Reagan, Helene von Damm, former Ministers Maria
Rauch-Kallat and Nikolaus Berlakovich and the Ambassadors
of Afghanistan, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Canada, Côte
d'Ivoire, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia,
Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan followed
the invitation. From the Austrian Ministry for European
and International Affairs, the Deputy Chief of the Protocol
Department, Bernhard Faustenhammer, was present.
