30 All lots are sold strictly as seen without warranty, purchasers are urged to satisfy themselves prior to the sale as to the condition of each lot and whether the lot accords with its description. 1312 1939 350cc BSA B23 De Luxe Reg No. 830 XUC Frame No.KB21753 Engine No.KB23355 The side valve B23 was produced between 1937 and 1940 with ‘tourer’ as its designated task in life. 1939 saw the factory produce the ‘fast’ version wearing slightly different tin-ware and with an uprated top end. An expensive option which explains the scant 250 examples made before the war put an end to production altogether. Consequently a rare machine and this example was re-patriated from Denmark, it had been found in a barn where it is believed it had been since the outbreak of war it was subsequently restored and then brought back to Blighty. UK registered with MOT valid until October 2012 and V5 documentation. The vendor reports that the magneto has been rebuilt and the De Luxe is running very well indeed. Estimate £4,000 - £5,000 1313 1983 1,000cc Honda CBX Prolink Reg No. MNY 71Y Frame No.JHMSC062303285 Engine No.SCO3E2306177 Honda’s ground breaking CBX was first introduced to the goggle eyed world in 1978, 6 cylinders across the frame, 4 valves per cylinder, double overhead cam, crikey! Combine this with shattering performance and good handling not to mention its good looks and a cult classic was born. In 1981 the CBX was redesigned and updated with Honda’s monoshock Prolink suspension, fairing, air suspension and numerous other performance and design upgrades making the machine the ultimate sports tourer. This example is stated to be in very good condition, starting, running and riding well the vendor reports. Just 24,000 miles are recorded which is backed up by 13 previous MOT’s, also included in the sale are past tax discs, V5, sundry service invoices and a spare key. A big bike from the decade of excess. Estimate £4,000 - £5,000 1314 1975 600cc BMW R60/6 Reg No. HCV 892N Frame No.2921848 Engine No.2921848 The silver R60/6 has covered 89,000 miles and is stated to still run and ride well which stands as testimony to the quality of the original design and build of BMW’s boxer twins. The R60 has been shed stored since 2005 and retains the period feature rear grab rail, large touring tank and drum brakes. The vendor is confident that a service alongside a new battery would see the R60 back on the road ready for touring duties. 1315 1981 400cc Honda CB400 Hondamatic Reg No. SRK 190W Frame No.2013325 Engine No.2013374 The 1970’s saw various manufacturers experimenting with semi automatic gearboxes none of which proved to be a great commercial success leading to small numbers sold and subsequent rarity today. This Hondamatic with its distinctive period Comstar wheels has covered just 18,000 miles from new and has formed part of a private collection. The vendor reports that the two speed semi automatic gearbox works well and is a relaxing and reliable machine though perhaps not a contender for speed trials. Supplied with MOT certificate valid until September 2012 and current V5 document. Estimate £800 - £1,200 1316 1958 500cc AJS Model 20 Reg No. 580 AVE Frame No.A60723 Engine No.58/20 51174 The Model 20 has been in the current ownership for 17 years, the Peterborough registered machine comes with a continuation logbook which chronicles the ownership between 1968 when it was based in Kent and 1973 when it was back in East Anglia. During its long term ownership the Model 20 has been dry stored and the vendor states that the engine is in good order and that the displayed 12,000 miles could well be genuine. Requiring a cosmetic tidy up the 500cc twin is offered for sale with the old continuation log book which will assist the new owner in obtaining new registration documents. Estimate £1,000 - £2,000 1317 1967 500cc Triumph T100S Tiger Reg No. LRR 184E Frame No.H54716 Engine No.T100S H54716 This very standard example of the feisty Tiger has been in dry storage for many years and the Nottingham registration number no longer appears with the DVLA. The old style V5 and 1978 tax disc supplied with the machine will assist the new owner with reregistration. The vendor informs us that the engine is strong with good compression and some paintwork has been recently completed. A good matching numbers example that requires plenty of cosmetic attention but has great potential for restoration.
