1334 1969 175cc Gilera 175 Rossa Extra
Reg No. 497 XUK
Frame No. 171-4131
Engine No.171-4131
A very pretty example of the Italian 175 that comes
complete with a 2003 Italian certificate of
authenticity also recording its re-registration in the
UK in 2008. Also supplied is a workshop invoice from
specialist North Leicester Motorcycles who rebuilt the
gearbox, they supply a comprehensive account of the
rebuild along with a low opinion of the previous
attempt. Now suitably restored and stated to be in
good running order this Moto Giro eligible machine
is supplied with a recently expired (August 2011)
MOT and V5C documentation along with the
previously mentioned paperwork. A very presentable
machine that is ready to show and go.
Estimate £3,800 - £4,400
1335 1965 500cc Triumph Tiger 100SS
Reg No. ABH 163C
Frame No.H40489
Engine No. TBA
Evidence in the accompanying file shows that the
Tiger was originally registered with a Swansea based
number BTH 32C which a previous owner attempted
to reinstate in 1990. We are informed that a full
restoration was undertaken some 16 years ago and
the finished article stood in the owners office as a
display piece and was never used. The next custodian
only used it twice before parting with it to the
current keeper. In very nice presentable order the
vendor states that due to the chain coming off at
some point the original crank case was damaged and
hence the recommissioned engine now bears a
different number but the original repairable cases are
supplied in order to create a fully matching numbers
machine. Complete with V5C and various parts
catalogues, a very shiny example.
Estimate £3,000 - £3,500
1336 1963 250cc Cotton Trials Special
Reg No. 668 BFH
Frame No. TC22
Engine No.607D-3060
This restoration project comes with a comprehensive
history file from new until the early 1980’s when it
was placed into storage. The accompanying buff
logbook shows that the machine has never moved
far from Northamptonshire. There are copious
receipts for parts purchased in the 1970’s including
the aftermarket Metal Profiles telescopic forks, a
worthy project which will require re-registration for
road use.
Estimate £500 - £700
