18 Car hire Opel Astra Depots Nearly 900 depots from which to choose at airports, capital cities and major tourist centres across these destinations. Optional Equipment Baby capsules/child seats. Details available on application. Optional equipment must be prebooked and is payable on collection of your vehicle. Conditions of Hire Duration of Hire UK and Europe: minimum hire is 1 day. Italy: minimum hire is 3 days. Driver Qualifications • All drivers must have a valid driver’s licence issued in their country of residence, held for at least 12 months. Some countries also require an international driving permit. • Maximum age conditions may apply. In UK and Europe minimum and maximum age restrictions apply and may vary between countries, details available on application. • Young Driver surcharges apply in some countries. Age and car type selected will impact surcharge amounts, details on application. Deposits A minimum deposit or credit card imprint at the commencement of the rental to cover fuel and optional services will be required. Deposits vary between countries, details available on application. One Way Rentals Continental Europe: One-way rentals are permitted within each country free of charge. One-way rentals are permitted between countries for certain car groups, these vary between countries in continental Europe, but in most cases a minimum rental of seven days will apply. These charges are to be paid in local currency on collection of the vehicle. Included Insurance • Damage Liability Waiver (DLW) DLW removes the additional financial responsibility for damage to the vehicle over and above the standard excess amount on the hire as long as the terms of the rental agreement are not violated. Details of the standard excess are available on application. • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) CDW removes the additional financial responsibility for damage to the vehicle over and above the standard excess amount on the hire as long as the terms of the rental agreement are not violated. Details of the standard excesses are available on application. • Third Party Liability (TLW) Unlimited cover against bodily injury to Third Party or damage to property of Third Party. This cover not included in Republic of Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands and Switzerland. Alamo gives you the freedom to take as little or as much time as you need to enjoy travelling throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. There are depots located in convenient locations across these destinations. Optional Insurance Alamo has a number of optional insurance packages available at time of hire to reduce excess amounts or provide additional personal accident insurance. These are payable direct. You should check what is covered by your insurance policy. Location Service Charge (LSC) This charge applies to premium depot locations where cars are collected at airports, key city centre locations and railway stations. This charge may be referred to by an alternate name, depending on the country of rental. Vehicle Licensing Fee (VLF) This is a car registration fee which applies across the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and continental Europe. Costs that are not Included Fuel and road tolls. Direct Road Direct Road gives you a head start. Alamo has introduced a smart new way to improve your rental car experience. Direct Road is a unique product for your enjoyment, allowing you to speed up your rental experience by providing your personal car hire details ahead of time.
