Day 1: Glasgow - Drumnadrochit<br />

Two days of fun and adventure that will allow you to immerse<br />

yourself in the best that the North of Scotland has to offer. See<br />

world famous lochs and imposing mountains. This tour takes<br />

you through a landscape rich in history, myth and legend,<br />

among the sites you’ll see will be Culloden, last stand of the<br />

Jacobites against the British government forces. Travel through<br />

some of the best scenery in Scotland, from the dizzying heights<br />

of the Drumochter Pass to the stunning peaks of the Cairngorms<br />

National Park. As we head toward Inverness, there will be ample<br />

time to get out and breathe in the Highland air, stretch your<br />

legs and try some hearty Highland fare. The first day ends at<br />

Drumnadrochit, a beautiful welcoming village on the banks<br />

of Loch Ness. Overnight: Drumnadrochit (B)<br />

Day 2: Drumnadrochit - Glagow<br />

After a delicious Scottish breakfast, explore the loch. Why<br />

not take a boat tour over to Urquhart Castle ^ , visit the Loch<br />

Ness 2000 Exhibition ^ , or just monster hunt from the shore?<br />

As you travel south take in the majestic sweep of the Great<br />

Glen and the stunning heights of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest<br />

mountain. Then visit Glen Coe and feel the past come to life<br />

as our guide tells you about the terrible massacre of the<br />

MacDonald Clan. The route home takes you past the beautiful<br />

city of Stirling and you’ll be able to see its stunning castle<br />

and learn more about the exploits of William Wallace - the<br />

Scottish hero brought to life in the film Braveheart. (B)<br />

The Skye Experience<br />

Duration: 3 days/2 nights Departures: Monday, Wednesday<br />

Day 1: Glasgow - Isle of Skye<br />

Head north from Glasgow, drive past through beautiful Stirling<br />

Castle, across the brooding expanse of Rannoch Moor and<br />

through Glen Coe. Continue near the coast towards Eilean Donan<br />

Castle ^ . Here you have the opportunity to take photographs and<br />

explore the castle that featured in the film Highlander. Then it’s<br />

time to cross the bridge to Skye. Overnight: Kyleakin (B)<br />

Day 2: Isle of Skye - Loch Ness<br />

Today is a full day to explore the island at your leisure. See<br />

sights such as the craggy Cuillin Mountains, the dramatic hills<br />

of the Quiraing and outstandingly beautiful Trotternish<br />

Peninsula. Perhaps spy an inquisitive seal peaking out of the<br />

waves as you walk the coast, or a stag silhouetted on a hillside.<br />

In the evening, depart the Isle and head south to Loch Ness.<br />

Day 3: Loch Ness - Glasgow<br />

After a good night’s sleep near the shores of Loch Ness you’ll<br />

have loads of time to explore. Perhaps take a boat tour over<br />

to Urquhart Castle ^ , visit the Loch Ness 2000 Exhibition ^ , or<br />

just monster hunt from the shore. On our journey back to<br />

Glasgow, visit the battlefield of Culloden, the site of the defeat<br />

of the Jacobite forces. You’ll also pass the stunning Cairngorm<br />

Mountains and explore the picturesque town of Pitlochry.<br />
