Day 1: Ludlow - Knighton<br />

Arrive at Petchfield Farm where you will be supplied with bike<br />

equipment, a map and guides. Cycle to Knighton following<br />

the River Teme along an idyllic lane. Visit a Roman village for<br />

lunch. Stay overnight in Knighton. Overnight: The Fleece House<br />

Day 1: London - Brecon Beacons<br />

Travel to Wales via the River Severn. Enjoy a panoramic tour of<br />

2: Knighton - Rhayader<br />

Cycle to Rhayader on the official Radnor Ring route through the<br />

Teme Valley and the Heart of Wales railway, and over Coxhead Bank<br />

common to the River Ithon and the Abbeycwmhir.<br />

Day 3: Rhayader<br />

A day at leisure. Visit the Elan Valley lakes and Visitor Centre by<br />

following a wonderful new cycle route around the lakes. Or visit The<br />

Red Kite Centre at Gigrin farm giving you an opportunity to see Red<br />

Kites. Overnight: The Brynafon Country Hotel<br />

Day 4: Rhayader - Presteigne<br />

Follow the River Wye south to Newbridge then over the hills to the<br />

spa town of Llandrindod Wells and through the hills to Glascwm and<br />

Knighton to Presteigne (75km). The route takes you deep into the<br />

Welsh hill country through winding lanes with magnificent views.<br />

Day 5: Presteigne<br />

Explore the black and white villages of Herefordshire at your own<br />

pace. Overnight: The Radnorshire Arms Hotel<br />

coach can navigate the country roads in this region, we<br />

relish a true ‘Back-Roads Experience’. Overnight: Brecon Beacons (B)<br />

Day 3: Brecon Beacons - Conway<br />

Journey through Brecon itself and along the Abergwesyn Pass<br />

from Llanwrtyd Wells to Tregaron. Catch the first glimpse of the<br />

mountains as we visit Ty Mawr Wybrnant, a traditional stone-built<br />

farmhouse in the beautiful Conwy Valley. Overnight: Conway (B, D)<br />

Day 4: Conway<br />

Today’s venture through Snowdonia National Park takes you<br />

through rugged landscape and tales from history. Continue with<br />

a spellbinding climb to the summit of the Great Worm (Orme to<br />

the locals) to admire the stunning views over the Irish Sea and<br />

Snowdonia. Overnight: Conway (B)<br />

Day 5: Conway - Shrewsbury<br />

Depart Snowdonia and drive over the Llanberris Pass, then<br />

southward to the spectacular lake at Bala before arriving at Powis<br />

Castle. From here it is but a short hop over the border to England and<br />

to the market town and birthplace of Charles Darwin, Shrewsbury.<br />

Day 6: Shrewsbury - Stratford-Upon-Avon<br />

Explore the town and visit one of the houses associated with<br />

Shakespeare’s time. Continue through the English countryside past<br />
