Note 16: Reporting of Outcomes<br />
The <strong>Corporation</strong>’s mission is ‘to foster an innovative <strong>and</strong> sustainable Australian sugar industry through<br />
targeted investment in research <strong>and</strong> development’.<br />
The <strong>Corporation</strong> is structured to meet one outcome; ‘A profi table <strong>and</strong> internationally competitive <strong>and</strong><br />
sustainable Australian sugarcane industry providing economic, environmental <strong>and</strong> social benefi ts for<br />
rural <strong>and</strong> regional communities through targeted investments in research <strong>and</strong> development’.<br />
Three Output Groups have been identifi ed as contributing to the one corporate outcome.<br />
1.1 Implementation of innovative farming, harvesting, transport, milling <strong>and</strong> marketing systems<br />
tailored to the needs of opportunities of each region (Regional Futures).<br />
1.2 Rapid translation of relevant emerging technologies that will enhance the industry’s competitive<br />
edge in the global marketplace (Emerging Technologies).<br />
1.3 <strong>Development</strong> of individuals <strong>and</strong> networks across the sugarcane industry that enhance the capacity<br />
for continuous improvement (People <strong>Development</strong>).<br />
