David has more than 25 years experience in product <strong>and</strong> business<br />
development; commercialisation of technologies; marketing; logistics<br />
<strong>and</strong> general management. His experience spans the life sciences,<br />
biotechnology, agribusiness <strong>and</strong> chemical industries domestically <strong>and</strong><br />
internationally. He has wide experience with the research sector <strong>and</strong><br />
with government interaction. He has held senior positions at Stem<br />
Cell Sciences PLC Monash Commercial Pty Ltd, Monsanto Australia<br />
Limited, Linfox Group, <strong>and</strong> Pivot Ltd (now Incitec Pivot Ltd). He has<br />
run a successful consultancy in strategy <strong>and</strong> policy development,<br />
<strong>and</strong> commercialisation for the life sciences <strong>and</strong> agribusiness industries,<br />
government <strong>and</strong> rural RDCs. He has held positions as Executive Director,<br />
Offi ce of Knowledge Capital in Melbourne <strong>and</strong> was a member of the<br />
Animal Health Australia Board.<br />
Michael Braude BBus, ASCPA, SF Fin, MBus<br />
Director (non-executive) 8 May 2008 – 30 April 2011<br />
Michael has 25 years of commercial experience in management,<br />
economics, fi nance <strong>and</strong> treasury across three major corporations.<br />
He led risk management, insurance <strong>and</strong> corporate treasury functions,<br />
<strong>and</strong> has acted as a company-appointed alternate director <strong>and</strong> trustee.<br />
He has been actively involved with professional associations <strong>and</strong> tertiary<br />
educational bodies, as a lecturer, course convenor <strong>and</strong> presenter.<br />
He is a senior fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia <strong>and</strong><br />
a fellow of the Finance & Treasury Association.<br />
Angela Williams B Agr Sc<br />
Director (non-executive) 8 May 2008 – 30 April 2011<br />
Member of the SRDC Scholarship Committee<br />
Angela has skills in agricultural extension, <strong>and</strong> community development<br />
<strong>and</strong> engagement processes across a range of rural industries <strong>and</strong><br />
communities throughout Queensl<strong>and</strong>. She runs a successful<br />
consultancy business specialising in training <strong>and</strong> facilitation support,<br />
<strong>and</strong> project managing short-term contracts, specifi cally those relating<br />
to organisational change management, strategic management <strong>and</strong><br />
business planning.<br />
She managed <strong>and</strong> delivered the <strong>Sugar</strong> Executive Offi cer contract<br />
as part of the <strong>Sugar</strong> Industry Reform Program in the Bundaberg-Isis<br />
sugar region.<br />
