Indemnities <strong>and</strong> Insurance<br />
Premiums<br />
The <strong>Corporation</strong> has taken the necessary steps to<br />
ensure professional indemnity cover is in place for<br />
all Directors <strong>and</strong> offi cers. However, the Comcover<br />
insurance contract prohibits public disclosure of<br />
the nature or limit of the liability covered or the<br />
amount of premium paid.<br />

Strategy Report<br />
The SRDC is a small organisation. The<br />
<strong>Corporation</strong> rents offi ce space in the Brisbane<br />
CBD <strong>and</strong> is limited by the current building<br />
specifi cations <strong>and</strong> requirements in terms of<br />
access. Lift access <strong>and</strong> disabled toilets are<br />
provided in the building.<br />
In its role as a research investment manager,<br />
the <strong>Corporation</strong> has a focus on the outcome<br />
of externally contracted research initiatives <strong>and</strong><br />
is not responsible for the day to day management<br />
of the people engaged in that research.<br />
As an employer, the <strong>Corporation</strong> complies with<br />
the policies, procedures <strong>and</strong> practices required<br />
by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, as<br />
amended by the Disability Discrimination <strong>and</strong><br />
Other Human Rights Legislation Amendment<br />
Act 2009.<br />
In 2010–2011 the <strong>Corporation</strong>:<br />
��Did not review or revise any policy with<br />
an impact on people with disabilities.<br />
��Published all documents <strong>and</strong> compliance<br />
reports in accessible electronic <strong>and</strong> hard copy<br />
formats.<br />
��Ensured all events were conducted with<br />
due consideration for accessibility.<br />
��Did not engage in any purchasing or<br />
contractual arrangements that required<br />
compliance with the Disability Discrimination<br />
Act 1992.<br />

work environment for all staff, Board members,<br />
panel members, contractors <strong>and</strong> visitors to its<br />
workplace. The SRDC actively encourages a<br />
teamwork approach, cooperation <strong>and</strong> good<br />
communication as the tools to build a safe<br />
working environment. It complies with the<br />
Occupational Health <strong>and</strong> Safety Act 1991 <strong>and</strong><br />
takes all reasonably practicable steps to ensure<br />
