The (HD-SUB-25, male) socket marked Ext. Devices on the
recorder is an RS485 interface. This is shown as COM4* in the
setup configuration. This connection is used for the connection and
integration of an IBIS system or a rail media coupler. The interface
is also suitable for connecting an external GPS receiver.
A connection for a CAN bus ** is offered as an additional option.
To use this interface the plugset ext. device is required. This can
be obtained from your system integrator or from the manufacturer.
