4 Messaging Services 4.1 Callback Returns to Voice Mail Feature ID(s): 13537 This activity enhances the voice message callback functionality that allows a user to listen to a voice message and then press a key to call the sender back. Currently, if the user elects to call back the sender, then upon ending that call, the user is disconnected and has to re-dial into the voice portal to continue listening to or handling voice messages. 4.1.1 Description The “Initiate Call to Sender” option of the Play Messages menu is enhanced to allow the user to continue a Voice Portal session upon terminating the call to the sender. This enhancement is available regardless of whether the Voice Portal Calling service is assigned to the user and is enabled. The following diagram shows how this feature modifies the “Initiate call to sender” option of the Play Messages menu. Upon selecting the “Initiate Call To Sender” option, a call is originated to the sender of the message. Once the call is terminated, the user is returned to the Play Messages menu and can resume listening to messages. For more details, refer to section 4.4 Voice Portal Calling.
