APPENDIX VI: VERNAL POOL PLANT SPECIES LIST<br />

Indicator status is from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's National List of Plant Species That Occur in <strong>Wetlands</strong>: California (Region<br />

0), May 1988. FAC=Facultative, FACU=Facultative Upland, FACW=Facultative Wetland, NI=No Inidcator, OBL=Obligate Wetland,<br />

UPL=Obligate Upland. A positive (+) or negative (-) sign is used with the Facultative Indicator categories to more specifically define<br />

the regional frequency of occurrence in wetlands. The positive sign indicates a frequency toward the higher end of the category (more<br />

frequently found in wetlands), and a negative sign indicates a frequency toward the lower end of the category (less frequently found in<br />

wetlands). An asterisk (*) indicates national indicator status.<br />
