FINANCIAL AID (Domestic Students)<br />

In 2009 NTID domestic student enrollment grew<br />

by 8.8 percent. This necessitated a significant<br />

increase in the total financial aid that was awarded.<br />

A 21.1 percent increase in Grant-in-Aid support<br />

combined with a 21.6 percent in scholarship<br />

awards resulted in an overall 21.6 percent increase<br />

in institutionally sponsored aid. Additionally, there<br />

was a 12.7 percent increase in federal and state<br />

support. On average, students received $10,059<br />

(5.5% increase from 2008) in financial aid<br />

excluding loans to apply against a total<br />

undergraduate student budget for tuition, room<br />

board, fees, books, transportation, etc., of $21,684.<br />
