We appreciate their interest and welcome them to our Committee! reaDerS tHeatre (included in your membership) Mondays | September 20 - June 27 | 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Readers Theatre is a joint dramatic reading from a text, with no memorization, movement and few props. The emphasis is on oral expression and fun. The group will work together to find appropriate text. Participants may choose texts to perform for each other or may set goals to perform for a coffee party, luncheon or other club event! Hiking Club The Calgary Wanderers (hiking and walking) Club has planned an exciting season for 2011. Join us for great exercise with a great group of people! We warm up with easy hikes in or close to the city during April, with easy, moderate and difficult choices offered in the Prairies and Foothills from May through June, then through summer and fall we extend our range into the mountains. Hikes occur every Wednesday from April 20 - October 12. Come to our hiking orientation on Thursday April 14 th at 7:00 p.m. in the +55 room. Sign up on GameTime. All hikers must sign up as hikers in GameTime. If you are not already, you must sign up as a +55 member. Well now you will get an inside scoop regarding this famous Calgarian - and it will be told by aviation author Shirlee Matteson and Fred McCall - Freddie’s son. Very delightful - very humorous 11:30 am | May 4 th | Alberta History - A Dark side In 1928 the government passed the ‘SEXUAL STERILIZATION ACT’. It was not revealed until 1972 - and not before 2800 people were sterilized - many for questionable reasons. Why was this allowed to occur?
