What next? — Accommodation & Welfare Accommodation Office Tremough and Woodlane campuses www.tremoughservices.com/accommodation/ accommodation.office@tremoughservices.com telephone 01326 370436 Most Falmouth students and researchers live in private sector accommodation, which is plentiful in Falmouth and Penryn, and usually within walking or cycling distance of the town centres. When you accept a place at Falmouth, Admissions will send you an information pack containing everything you need to know about our student residences and private sector rentals. Our Accommodation Office team (operated by Tremough Campus Services) is happy to answer any questions you may have. Residences A limited number of spaces in our student residences are available for international postgraduate students: tuke house is a 156-room student residence in Falmouth, one minute from the shops, ten minutes from Woodlane, and five minutes from Wellington Terrace, a short walk from the beach and next to the main bus routes. All rooms are en-suite and you’ll share a kitchen/sitting room with four other people. Glasney Student village at Tremough has over 600 rooms for Falmouth students (with more planned in our ongoing expansion programme). All rooms are en-suite and the majority contain double beds. You’ll have access to a kitchen/ living area, which will be shared with six other students. A number of single-bedded rooms have been adapted to accommodate students with a range of disabilities. You’ll also have access to coin-operated launderettes, bicycle and surfboard stores. Both residences offer broadband (subject to a separate contract) and all rooms contain a phone. Contracts Contracts for our residences cover Christmas and Easter breaks so you can feel free to stay during those holidays. It’s important to return an application form as soon as possible and to note that students are not guaranteed a place in student residences. Do you need to find somewhere to live, or someone to talk to about emotional and personal problems? Even if our staff can’t help they’ll refer you to someone who can. Call the above number for more information or to make an appointment. Counselling Service: This free and confidential service helps you manage personal and emotional difficulties. A range of appointments are available including one-hour sessions and daily drop-in times. Chaplaincy: A multi-faith chaplaincy team offering spiritual support for students of all faiths or none. Day nursery: High quality childcare and education in a safe and stimulating environment at Woodlane. health Matters: A friendly nurse-clinic runs twice weekly on Tremough Campus for general medical problems, including sexual health. living Support Coordinator: For students experiencing welfare or behavioural issues.
