Debate Swings into Action<br />
Debate, a well rounded class, met everyday<br />
during sixth period. It offered a<br />
variety of speech orientated learning for<br />
competition. It covered different speaking<br />
styles such as dramatic, humorous<br />
and intellectuaL. It was a class that taught<br />
life-long skills like researching, note-taking,<br />
logic, comprehension, communication,<br />
and poise. They do many different<br />
fun activities that were supported by car<br />
washes, yard sales and coupon sales.<br />
They held a Christmas Party in December<br />
and had many tournaments during<br />

one at PLU. Jessica Sundin stated, "Debate<br />
is one of the best activities offered<br />
by Lewis and Clark. The in-town tournaments<br />
