Without a Drivers
License
Getting Around Isn't Easy
Getting a driver's license
was one of the best things that
came with starting high
schooL. Many of the freshmen
weren't old enough to drive, so
finding someone to take them
to the game was hard, For this
reason, Drivers Ed, was a very
popular class for freshmen, especially
during the second semester,
Many of the students
couldn't wait to be able. to
drive alone legally, so they
made an extra effort in class,
In the meantime, there was
stil a problem of getting to
school and to the football and
basketball games, Don Urquhart
said, "i got rides with my
sister," While that may be true
for some, others rode the bus
or walked everywhere, Even
though these were some of the
ways the. freshmen got around,
the problem stil remains,
..i found itl" "Class is boring, think I'l listen to my
walk man,"
