This year was one of the most successful
ones for the l.c. Jazz Band, The fact that
the members met as a club and not as a
class didn't slow them down, With regular
rehearsals, they grew to work well together
and play well together also.
Their great sound drew a lot of response

from audiences and the other l.c. bands.
They even went so far as to receive a
certificate of excellence from the Music
Festival held in Nelson, British Columbia
on March 4th,"1 think they're great! I've
heard them play once, and it was very
