Vario-Sol
Vario-Sol is a building material that foams up in case of a fire and is designed for F90 wall and ceiling ducts of
flammable and non-flammable pipes
Legal regulations such as the ordinance for prototype
buildings, the German “Landesbauordnung” (LBO),
the prototype regulations on fire requirements at line
and pipe systems (MLAR) contain three main basic
requirements for the design of the building:
g Prevention of fire spreading
g Prevention of the spreading of smoke gases
(even cold smoke)
g Prevention of the spreading of noise
Vario-Sol was developed for pipe ducts designed for
practical conditions that take these requirements into
consideration.
g For F90 wall and ceiling ducts of flammable and
non-flammable pipes
General approval from the building authorities:
Z-19.11- 1379 (for building materials that foam up
in case of fire)
g Flexible
can be assembled on sockets and casing fittings
g Odor- and smoke tight against cold smoke
Due to a ribbed profile and gluing of the end pieces

Vario-Sol board
Particularly suitable for use for recesses in walls and ceilings
Processing instructions:
� cut Vario-Sol to the length of the pipe circumference
� Lay Vario-Sol around the pipe and fix with tape at the longitudinal joint
� Glue both ends odor-tight and to protect against cold smoke with A2 tape

transmission of fire and smoke is prevented

Range of application:
F90 fire-protection solution for water, heating and
drainpipes; approved according to DIN 4102 and the
prototype pipe system regulations (MLAR) for nonflammable
pipes (except aluminum and glass) up to
160 mm; flammable pipes ≤ 32 mm pipe outer dia.
Processing instructions:
Water-soluble in non-hardened state; protect from
immediate weather influences, particularly driving rain
and the change from frost to condensation
