5.13 La “HIMEL” chinaDesde 2002 uno de los ejes prioritarios en la estrategiade crecimiento del “Grupo Schneider” era incrementar supresencia en China. El atractivo de un gran mercado enexpansión era suficiente justificación para este interés. Lamodernización de la economía china exigía crecientes cantidadesde material eléctrico y envolventes. Después de habervalorado la posibilidad de subarrendar los servicios de unafábrica finalmente se decidió construir una nueva. Despuésde analizar diferentes ubicaciones en el gran Shangai, lafactoría se edificó en un nuevo parque industrial situado enSuzhou. La dirección del Grupo creyó conveniente que todoel proceso de industrialización se hiciera desde ENSYS. FueDomènec Marsal la persona encargada de realizar esa labor.Ese soporte se extendió a la puesta a punto de la fábrica y asu posterior evolución. La nueva fábrica se puso en marchael 30 de mayo de 2004. En 2004 se intentó repetir la experienciaen Rusia, aunque diferentes motivos empresariales einstitucionales movieron a frenar esta iniciativa.5.13 The Chinese HIMELSince 2002, one of the priority pillars of the SchneiderGroup’s growth strategy was to increase its presence inChina. The attraction of a big market in expansion was justificationenough for this interest. The growing modernisationof the Chinese economy demanded increasing amounts ofelectrical material and enclosures. After having evaluatedthe possibility of subletting the services of a factory, it wasfinally decided to build a new one. After analysing a numberof locations in the Shanghai area, the factory was built in anew industrial park in Suzhou. The Group management feltthat it was a good idea for the whole industrialisation processto be managed by ENSYS. The person in charge ofthis was Domènec Marsal. This support extended to the finetuning of the factory and its subsequent evolution. The newfactory started operations on 30 May 2004. The same year,an attempt was made to repeat the experiment in Russia,although various business and institutional reasons broughtthis initiative to a halt.375
5.14 La gestión medioambiental yla política de calidad5.14.1 La gestión medioambiental: unaapuesta estratégicaLa política medioambiental de HIMEL parte de las orientacionesestablecidas por el “Groupe Schneider”. Su sistemase basa en el establecimiento de unos mecanismospara identificar, evaluar y registrar los aspectos medioambientalespresentes, pasados y futuros. Cada uno de losaspectos se ha incluido en uno de los siguientes apartados:Residuos, Vertidos Aguas Residuales, EmisionesAtmosféricas, Recursos Naturales (agua, luz, gas y materiaprima), Tierra, Ruido y Vibraciones y Otros. En funcionesde transformaciones en el proceso, de nuevos productos o denuevas materias primas se revisan los aspectos señaladospara identificar nuevas situaciones.Arrancando de actuaciones previas HIMEL decidió implantarun sistema de gestión medioambiental en 1996 en todossus centros industriales. El resultado de esa actuación fuela obtención del “Certificado de Gestión Medioambiental”de AENOR en 1997, según la norma UNE-EN-ISO 14001.Esta certificación fue renovada en 2005. En noviembre de2000 obtuvo el “Certificado de Participación” en el “SistemaCE de ecogestión y ecoauditoria” registrado por la DireccióGeneral de Qualitat Ambiental del Departament de MediAmbient de la Generalitat de Catalunya. Este registro fuerenovado en 2004. Las actuaciones concretas de la política5.14 Environmental managementand the quality policy5.14.1 Environmental management:a strategic commitmentHIMEL’s environmental policy is based on the guidelines setout by the Groupe Schneider, and its system is based on theestablishment of mechanisms to identify, evaluate and registerpresent, past and future environmental aspects. Eachof these aspects has been included in one of the followingsections: Waste, Waste Water Dumping, AtmosphericEmissions, Natural Resources (water, electricity, gas andraw material), Land, Noise and Vibrations and Others.Depending on the transformations in the process, on newproducts or on new raw materials, the above aspects arereviewed to identify new situations.Harking back to previous actions, it decided to implementan environmental management system in 1996 in all of itsindustrial centres. The result of this was that it was awardedthe AENOR ‘Environmental Management Certificate’ in 1997according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001 standard. This certificatewas renewed in 2005. In November 2000 it was awardedthe ‘Certificate of Participation’ in the ‘CE system of ecomanagementand eco-audits’ registered by the DirectorateGeneral for Environmental Quality of the Department of theEnvironment of the Regional Government of Catalonia. Thisregistration was renewed in 2004. The specific actions of theenvironmental policy have focused on five aspects: emis-376
