Ello motivó un incremento de los ingresos de explotacióndel almacén tipo de un 12,3% y su plantilla ha aumentadode unos 33 operarios en 1997 a los 48 en 2003. Enel caso de la HIMEL se suma su capacidad para entrar ennuevos mercados emergentes (el de “Voz y Datos” o el delas energías renovables, por ejemplo).En este contexto a pesar de la creciente competencia enlas diferentes líneas de producto de HIMEL, la empresacatalana ha mantenido su posición de liderazgo. Segúnestimaciones propias la cuota de mercado que ocupaba enEspaña en 1996 era del 55-60%. As acomplement to the network, there have also been one-offactions to gain even greater knowledge of the market. Anexample of this can be seen in the visits made by variousdirectors since February 1995 ‘to significant customers ineach area’ to find out about their level of satisfaction withthe product, their relations with the company and their consumptionsof the competition’s products.
