French fries which will be sold in the local market,
National market and exported to Europe and America.
Project goes operational in 2007. Project was formulated
by ACR group from USA collaborating with SNV, IRAD,
BIPFU etc.

- BIPFU: Grouped marketing of Solanum potatoes.
2. Products
Collects potatoes from members and markets in Douala
and Maroua. After deducting all expenses and 2% for
running cost of BIPFU farmers still get a better benefit
about 20-25% more money than if they sold in the local
market. It should be noted that unlike traders BIPFU
negotiates trucks directly with owners in Banso for
transportation to Douala and in Bamenda through
telephone for transportation to Maroua.
All the products of roots and tubers are marketed in Bui
division but the most important is Solanum potatoes. It is collected
in villages by intermediary using land rovers, Toyota pickups, styres.
