Then it pops up a new menu where you should select MER/. Then select thefile you want to delete.5.18 ECHOES and PRE-ECHOES Analyser (DVB-T/DVB-T2)The ECHOES Analyser can detect and display echoes that may appear whenreceiving simultaneously the same signal from several transmitters. Another reason thatcan cause echoes is the reflection of the signal on large objects such as buildings ormountains. PRE-ECHOES are signals received before the main signal arrives.With the ECHOES function is possible to know the distance from where we are tothe transmitter or the object that has caused the echo. Thus, the installer can minimisethe effects of echoes on the facility. Knowing echoes, the installer is able to repositionthe antenna and therefore, reduce the effect of echoes received.This feature is only available for DVB-T/H y DVB-T2 signals. Therefore, youshould configure the <strong>TV</strong> <strong>EXPLORER</strong> HD in order to receive this type of signals. If not,the ECHOES function will not appear on the menu “Utilities”.The steps to go through to set up the digital terrestrial reception are the next:English1. Press the key [14] (Satellite / Terrestrial Band) to select the <strong>TV</strong>terrestrial frequency band.2. Press the key [17] (Measurement Configuration) to select themeasurement mode for Digital <strong>TV</strong>.3. Check the led indicator “D” and the led indicator “T” are lighted.4. Enter parameters <strong>manual</strong>ly to lock signal or press [25] (AutomaticIdentification) for an automatic identification of the signal (Figure 47.-).01/2011 Page 81
