Operating instructionsSwitching offMove rotary switch on thecontrol panel to „p” to switchoff. The fan can continue to runafter switching off in order toutilise the residual heat.In order to preventunintentional overloadingof the power supplywhen resuming operation,it is advisable to setthe unit to gas operationat the power selectorswitch after switching off.Always drain water contentsif there is a risk offrost! If the appliance is not to beused for a prolonged period, close the quick-acting valvein the gas supply line andturn off the gas cylinder.Gas operation faultIf a fault occurs during gasoperation the red indicatorlamp (r) on the control panelilluminates.Possible causes can be foundin the troubleshooting list.Unlocking takes place byswitching off and thenswitching on again.Opening the window switchand closing it again is theequivalent to switching off/onat the control panel (e.g.performing a fault reset)! If a fault shut-off occursduring mixed operation(e.g. because of empty gascylinder) the heater continuesto run using electricity.Electrical operationfaultIf a fault occurs during electricaloperation the yellow indicatorlamp (h) on the powerselector switch goes off.Possible causes can be foundin the troubleshooting list.If the 230 V power supplyis interrupted forshort periods during operationthe heating will resumeas normal.Electricalsafety/drain valvea = Control knob „closed“b = Control knob „drain“The safety/drain valve isheld closed by a electricalcoil. To save batterypower, we recommend toopen the valve if the vehicleis not in use for a prolongedperiod! If the temperature at thesafety/drain valve is less than4°C, the water contents maydischarge on its own accordif the appliance is notin operation (also if there is afailure)! To avoid water loss, switch the device on (Summeror Winter mode) andclose the safety/drain valve atthe control knob by raising itup (position a).Without heater operation, thesafety/drain valve can only beclosed again at temperaturesabove 8°C!The draining socket of theelectrical safety/drain valvemust always be kept clear(free from slush, ice, leavesetc.)! There shall be noguarantee claims fordamage caused by frost!Filling thewater heater1. Close electrical safety/drainvalve at the control knob bylifting up (position a).At temperatures of around8°C and less, switch on theheater or water heater first,to make sure the valve doesnot open again!2. Switch on power for waterpump (main switch or pumpswitch).3. Open hot water taps inkitchen and bathroom, (setpreselecting mixing taps orsingle-lever fittings to „hot“).Leave taps open until thewater heater has forced outair and filled up with waterand water is flowing out ofthe taps.If just the cold watersystem is being operated, without using the waterheater, the heater tank alsofills up with water. In orderto avoid damage by frost, the water contents must bedrained by operating thesafety/drain valve, also whenthe water heater has notbeen used. As an alternative, two shutoff valves, resistantto hot water, can be fitted infront of the cold and hotwater connection. When connecting toa central water supply(rural or city mains), a pressurereduction valve mustalways be installed to preventpressures above 2.8 barfrom developing in the waterheater.Draining thewater heater1. Interrupt power for waterpump (main switch or pumpswitch).2. Open hot water taps inkitchen and bathroom.3. Open electrical safety/drainvalve at control knob bypressing in (position b).The water heater content isnow emptied to the outsidethrough the safety/drainvalve. Place a bucket beneaththe outlet to check whetherthe water content hascompletely drained away(12 litres!). There shall beno guarantee claims fordamage caused by frost!11
