Case of warrantyThe manufacturer grants awarranty for malfunctionsin the appliance which arebased on material or productionfaults. In addition to this,the statutory warranty claimsagainst the seller remainvalid.A claim under warranty shallnot pertain:– for parts subject to wearand in cases of naturalwear and tear,– as a result of using componentsin the units thatare not original Truma partsand using unsuitable gaspressure regulators,– as a consequence of failureto respect Truma instructionsfor installation anduse,– as a consequence ofimproper handling,– as a consequence of impropertransport packing,not arranged by Truma.2. Scope of warrantyThe warranty is valid formalfunctions as stated underitem 1, which occur within24 months after conclusionof the purchase agreementbetween the seller and thefinal consumer. The manufacturerswill make good suchdefects by subsequent fulfilment,i.e. at their discretioneither by repair or replacement.In the event of manufacturersproviding serviceunder warranty, the termof the warranty shall not recommenceanew with regardto the repaired or replacedparts; rather, the old warrantyperiod shall continue to run.More extensive claims, inparticular claims for compensatorydamages by purchasersor third parties, shallbe excluded. This does notaffect the rules of the productliability law.The manufacturer shall bearthe cost of employing theTruma customer service forthe removal of a malfunctionunder warranty – in particulartransportation costs,travelling expenses, job andmaterial costs, as long as theservice is carried out in Germany.The warranty does notcover customer service workin other countries.Additional costs based oncomplicated removal andinstallation conditions of theappliance (e.g. removal offurniture or parts of the vehiclebody) do not come underwarranty.3. KG,Wernher-von-Braun Straße 12,85640 Putzbrunn.In Germany, always notifythe Truma service centre ifproblems are encountered; inother countries the relevantservice partners should becontacted (see list of addresses).Any complaints areto be described in detail. Inaddition, the properly completedguarantee certificateis to be presented, or the factorynumber of the unit andthe date of purchase given.In order for the manufacturersto be able to determinewhether an incident subjectto guarantee has occurred,the end user must, at his ownrisk, bring the device to themanufacturers or send it tothem. If there is damage toheaters (heat exchangers),the gas pressure regulatormust also be sent back to thefactory.In instances of the devicebeing sent to the works,dispatch is to be effected byfreight transport. In casesunder guarantee, the worksshall bear the transport costsor the costs of delivery andreturn. If the damage isdeemed not to be a warrantycase, the manufacturer shallnotify the customer and shallspecify repair costs whichshall not be borne by themanufacturer; in this case,the customer shall also bearthe shipping costs.14
