General safety notesAccessoriesIf the gas system is leaking orif there is a smell of gas:– extinguish all naked flames– do not smoke– switch off the appliances– shut off the gas cylinder– open windows and door– do not actuate anyelectrical switches– have the entire systemchecked by an expert!Repairs may onlybe carried out by anexpert!A new O-ring must always beinstalled after dismantling theexhaust duct!1. Any modifications to theunit (including the exhaustduct and the cowl) or the useof spare parts and accessoriesthat are important to theoperation of the system(e.g. the time switch) that arenot original Truma parts andfailure to follow the installationand operating instructionswill cancel the warrantyand indemnify Truma fromany liability claims. It also becomesillegal to use the appliance,and in some countriesthis even makes it illegal touse the vehicle.2. The operating pressureof the gas supply must correspondwith the operatingpressure of the device(30 mbar).5. During the initial operationof a brand new appliance (orafter it has not been used forsome time), a slight amountof fumes and smell may benoticed for a short while. Itis a good idea to heat thedevice up several times inmixed/summer operation(60°C) and to make sure thatthe area is well ventilated.6. If the burner makes anunusual noise or if the flamelifts off, it is likely that theregulator is faulty and it isessential to have it checked.7. Items sensitive to heat(e.g. spray cans) must not bestored in the installation area,since excess temperaturesmay under certain circumstancesbe incurred there.8. Only pressure regulatorsthat comply with EN 12864(in vehicles) and EN ISO10239 (for boats) with a fixeddelivery pressure of 30 mbarmust be used for the gassystem. The flow rate of thepressure regulator must correspondto at least the maximumconsumption of all devicesinstalled by the systemmanufacturer.For vehicles we recommendthe Truma SecuMotion gaspressure regulator and theTruma DuoComfort automaticchangeover valve for thetwo-cylinder system.123 MODIMIDOFRSASOTruma Timer ZUC 2 completewith 3 m connecting cable(part no. 34042-01).Remote control for electricalsafety/drain valve, completewith 3 m connecting cable(part no. 34170-01).The electrical accessories arefitted with a plug and can beconnected individually.Extension cables for the controlpanel, the ZUC 2 timerand remote control panel forthe drain valve are available ifrequired.Shrouding frames are availablein different colours as aspecial accessory, and sidesections for finishing off theshrouding frames are alsoavailable in 8 differentcolours.Please contact your dealer.Clip rows(part no. 34000-65900).For installing several Trumacontrol panels next to oneanother.Surface-mounting frame forTruma control panel(part no. 40000-52600).Combination with the sidepieces is not possible.3. Liquid gas systems mustcomply with the technicaland administrative regulationsof the respective countryof use (e.g. EN 1949 forvehicles or EN ISO 10239 forboats in Europe). National directivesand regulations (e.g.DVGW worksheet G 607 forvehicles and G 608 for boatsin Germany) must be compliedwith.The testing of the gas systemmust be repeated everytwo years by a qualifiedspecialist and, if appropriate,confirmed on the inspectioncertificate (in Germany, forexample, DVGW WorksheetG 607 for motor vehicles orG 608 for boats).The vehicle owner isalways responsible forarranging the inspection.At temperatures of around0°C or less the gas pressureregulator and the changeovervalve must be operated usingthe EisEx de-icing system.Controller connecting hosesthat meet national regulationsmust always be usedin the respective countryfor which the equipment isdestined. These hoses mustbe checked regularly for brittleness.Winter-proof specialhoses must always be usedif the equipment is operatedduring the winter.Pressure regulating equipmentand hoses must bereplaced with new ones nomore than 10 years after thedate of manufacture (every8 years if used commercially).This is the responsibility ofthe operator.Cowl extension KVC forwinter camping(part no. 34070-01).The cowl extension must beremoved whilst driving.Double-skin leadthrough forcaravan-double-skin roofs(part no. 34080-01).As standard, Truma suppliesa suitable cover frame, in agategrey colour, for every controlpanel/every time switch.4. Liquid gas equipment mustnot be used when refuelling,in multi-storey car parks, ingarages or on ferries.13
