La relève de la chanson malgache
Du haut de ses 10 ans, difficile de ne pas être
émerveillé par sa voix. Voara, du groupe Fangia Kalo
Gasy, est le coup de cœur de la chanson malgache.
D’une grande timidité, la jeune fille ne se laisse pas
pourtant intimider par la scène. On top of her ten years
of age, how can one not be amazed by the sound of
her voice. Voara, from the Fangia Kalo Gasy group, is
the crush of the malagasy song. Overwhelmed by her
timidity, the girl is however not intimidated by the stage.

The alternative to the malagasy song
Prime Media: Comment t’es venue l’idée de chanter ce style de
musique d’antan à seulement 10 ans ?
Voara : C’est grâce à mon père que j’ai découvert le monde du
bà gasy et j’ai commencé à chanter pas à pas avec lui. C’est au
mois de juin 2014 que mon père découvre « finalement » mon
talent et décide de m’initier dans le bà gasy.
Prime Media: How did the idea of singing this old-fashioned
music style come to you at the age of 10 only?
Voara : It was thanks to my father that I discovered the bà gasy
world. Besides I started singing with him step by step. Then
in June 2014 he “finally” discovered my talent and decided to
initiate me to the bà gasy.
Prime Media:Quels sont tes méthodes pour entretenir ta voix ?
Voara : : Dès mon plus jeune âge, je m’intéresse à la chanson
notamment au bà gasy et, pour améliorer ma voix, j’ai décidé
d’intégrer la chorale du quartier. D’année en année je me suis
améliorée, ce qui m’a poussée à faire partie du groupe Fangia
Kalo Gasy.
Prime Media: What are your methods to maintain your voice?
Voara : From my younger age, I am interested in singing
mostly the bà gasy and, to improve my vocals, I decided to
integrate my neighborhood choir. Year after year I improved,
which pushed me to be part of the Fangia Kalo Gasy group.
Prime Media: Et depuis, raconte-nous les instants qui t’ont
marquée?
Voara : : Le groupe commence à prendre de l’ampleur et se

commence à se produire sur scène depuis 2 ans, la
passion de la musique mais surtout du bà gasy (style de
musique d’antan) les pousse à former le groupe Fangia
Kalo Gasy, fangia ou mifamihina qui signifie s’enlacer en
Français. Talented from father to daughter. The small
group of family began performing on stage two years ago,
their passion for music especially the bà gasy (old music
style) drove them to create the Fangia Kalo Gasy group,
fangia or mifamihina which means to cuddle in English.

J’ai été sidérée. J’ai apprécié de partager la scène avec Eric
Manana un grand nom de la musique malgache et Dama du
groupe Mahaleo qui j’espère sont charmés par mon talent. Si
c’était à refaire c’est un OUI sans hésitation.
Prime Media: Since then, share to us the moments that were
significant to you?
Voara : The group begins to take off and is watched by millions
of viewers on YouTube. I was amazed. I enjoyed sharing the
stage with Éric Manana, a famous name in the malagasy music
industry and Dama from the Mahaleo group who I hope are
charmed by my talent. If it had to happen again I would say YES
with no hesitation.
