Avec ses plages intimistes, sentiers pédestres, musées insolites, événements culturels, Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat est un véritable havre de paix, un
haut lieu de villégiature depuis le début du XIX e siècle qui devient « l’égérie » de nombreux artistes et touristes : tsars, peintres (Picasso, Renoir,

mer comme Lo Scoglietto qui compta parmi ses propriétaires successifs Charlie Chaplin et David Niven. La plus importante acquisition est celle du
roi des Belges Léopold II, propriétaire de la quasi-totalité du versant ouest du Cap avec sa villa Les Cèdres. Quant à la Baronne Éphrussi de Rothschild,
elle s’offre une colline dominant la mer et y élève une villa aujourd’hui transformée en magnifique musée. De nombreuses maisons gardent les traces
visibles des artistes qui sont passés par la Presqu’île dont Jean Cocteau, invité régulier de la célèbre Santo Sospir qu’il a entièrement « tatoué » de
ses œuvres. Elle est aujourd’hui accessible aux visites. Parmi les célébrités qui sont venues séjourner à Saint-Jean, on peut citer Roger Moore,
Elizabeth Taylor, Édith Piaf ou Romy Schneider qui s’y maria en 1966.
Pour profiter pleinement des délices qu’offre Saint-Jean, prélassez-vous sur les nombreuses plages dont la magnifique Paloma, nichée au cœur d’un
écrin de verdure qui dispose d’une plage privée, bijou d’après guerre mondialement connue.

manquez pas les festivités de la Saint-Jean au mois de juin où le village accueille aubades, fête foraine et procession, ou « La nuit vénitienne » du 4
août pour un défilé avec masques et costumes vénitiens et une retraite aux flambeaux. Découvrez aussi le festival « Saint Jazz Cap Ferrat » dans le
cadre enchanteur de la pinède, un incontournable des festivals de jazz azuréens.
With its intimate beaches, coastal paths, extraordinary museums and cultural events, Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat is a real haven of peace and quiet,
a privileged retreat since the early 19th century which became a favourite among many artists and tourists: tsars, princes, painters (Picasso,
Renoir, Matisse…). Over the years, it remained a highly-prized attraction for the international Who’s Who. The first villas appeared on the seafront,

masks and costumes, and a torchlit procession. Also worth discovering, the "Saint Jazz Cap Ferrat" festival in the enchanting setting of the pinegrove,
an absolute must among the Riviera's jazz festivals.
