Avec un climat chaud et humide, la période entre
le mois d’avril et le mois de novembre reste la
meilleure période pour visiter l’Île aux Nattes.

and November remains the best time to visit the
island of Île aux Nattes.
Comment s’y rendre? / How to get there?
Vous pouvez choisir de rejoindre l’île aux Nattes
par voie maritime depuis Soanierana Ivongo
ou depuis Mahambo. Depuis Antananarivo ou
Toamasina ou depuis Gilôt (La Réunion), prenez
un vol de la compagnie Air Madagascar/Tsaradia.
Rejoignez ensuite, en taxi ou en tuk-tuk, la pointe
Sud de Saint-Marie et traversez le lagon en
pirogue.
You can get to the Sainte Marie island by boat
from Soanierana Ivongo or from Mahambo.
There are also Air Madagascar/Tsaradia flights
from Antananarivo or Toamasina or from Gillot
(Reunion island). Then take a taxi or tuk-tuk to the
southern tip of île Sainte Marie and find a dugout
canoe to take you across the lagoon.

dans les gargotes au cœur du village. Le Ravoraha,
L’ydille Beach,La Birgogne, La Varangue vous
concocteront des plats succulents.

eat at any one of the many snack-bars in the centre
of the village. The Ravoraha,the Idylle Beach, the

Faites le tour de l’île aux Nattes à pied et en
pirogue et étendez votre visite sur l’îlot aux
sables habités par une colonie d’oiseaux de mer.
Essayez le snorkeling, l’activité en vogue sur l’île
pour observer les fonds marins au milieu des
eaux cristallines. Revenez sur l’île de Sainte-
Marie et visitez le parc zoologique et botanique
d’Ambodiforaha et découvrez également la
cascade d'Antanandava ou encore le cimetière de
pirates.
Take a walk right or hire a dugout canoe to sail
around, stopping at the tiny sand island with its
bird colony. Try snorkeling, very popular on the
island for visitors wishing to observe the rich
marine life in the crystal-clear waters of the
lagoon. Take a dugout back to the island of île
Sainte-Marie and visit the Ambodiforaha zoo and
botanical garden, the Antanandava waterfall or
the pirate cemetery.
