Vous pouvez rejoindre Tuléar depuis
Antananarivo ou Saint-Denis (La Réunion) via
la Compagnie Air Madagascar puis poursuivre
en voiture les 100km qui vous séparent de votre
point d'arrivée. Le lac Ihotry est localisé au
Sud de Morombe sur la RN55, en passant par
Ambahikily et Tanandava.
Air Madagascar runs flights to Tuléar from
Antananarivo or Saint-Denis (Reunion). Then it
will be a 100km drive to the lake, which lies to
the south of Morombe, along the RN55, through
Ambahikily and Tanandava.

Les tilapias sont les seuls pensionnaires des
eaux salées. La pêche y est interdite. Possibilités
occasionnelles de ballades en pirogue.Profitez
de votre passage à Morombe pour contempler la
beauté de l’un des plus grands lagons au monde.
Observez les boutres et goélettes qui assurent la
liaison Morondava et Tuléar en escale dans le port
de Morombe. Très tôt le matin, assistez au retour
des pêcheurs. Enfin, faites connaissance avec les
vieux baobabs géants datant de plusieurs milliers
d’années et dont certains sont considérés comme
sacrés.
Tilapias are the only fish found in the salt lake and
fishing is not allowed. Occasional boat-trips over
the lake are organised. Take some time during your
stay in Morombe to contemplate the beauty of one
of the world’s largest lagoons. Watch the dhows
and the schooners sailing between Morondava
and Tuléar and stopping off in the harbour of
Morombe. Very early in the morning, you can see
the fishermen bringing in their catch. Finally, go
and admire the giant baobabs, several thousands
of years old. Some are held to be sacred.
