Keiner fährt – meines<br />
Wissens – so viele Kilometer<br />
auf Luxemburgs Straßen wie<br />
Ralph „Dizzy“ Diseviscourt.<br />
2019 waren es inklusive der drei Ultracycling-Rennen<br />
im Ausland 46.000. Das<br />
ergibt einen unglaublichen Schnitt von<br />
126 Kilometer pro Tag! Ralph ist ein<br />
waschechter „Éisleker“, wohnt in Nocher<br />
(nahe Wiltz), kennt die Region wie<br />
seine Westentasche und damit der ideale<br />
Guide um uns auf Entdeckungstour mitzunehmen:<br />
„Welcome to Dizzyland!“<br />
Sonntag, morgens Punkt 07.00 Uhr<br />
geht es beim Schloss im historischen<br />
Ortskern von Wiltz los. In diesen<br />
frühen Morgenstunden ist Dizzy<br />
keinesfalls „duselig“, wie man aus<br />
seinem Spitznamen schließen könnte,<br />
ganz im Gegenteil. Mir wird eher<br />
„schwindelig“ wenn ich sehe, was dieser<br />
Ausnahmeathlet schon alles geschafft<br />
hat: Weltmeister auf der Ultra-Marathon<br />
Distanz, Gewinner der „Race across<br />
France“, der „Race across Italy“, der<br />
„Tortour“ und der „Dolomitica“. Bei<br />
anderen Rennen, wie der mythischen<br />
„Race across America“, der „Race<br />
around Austria“ und der „Race around<br />
Slovenia“ ist er jeweils knapp am Sieg<br />
vorbeigeschrammt. Und auf keinen Fall<br />
sollte man sein gut gefülltes Palmarès als<br />
Amateur-Rennfahrer mit einem Sack<br />
voll Landesmeistertiteln im Zeitfahren<br />
vergessen.<br />
