Iparralde are concerned, they criticize,
on the one hand, the non-existence
of such approaches on the part

and the search for their own interests
on part of the abertzale parties.
THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF ARESTI
Going against general opinion, the
first poem of the Basque poet Gabriel
Aresti was not “Dance dans la prière”
but rather “Quatrième mouvement
p resto”, published anonymously in
“Eusko Gaztedi” from Caracas. This
poem is re p roduced here
accompanied by the corr e s p o n d e n c e
that preceeded its publication.

In this article the author underlines
the numerous linguistic polemics in
which Aresti participated, and
situates them within the general
debate of the time about the model of
language. They are fragmentary
reminiscences of the distance covered
by Aresti, from “Tobera” up to “Harri
eta Herri”.
