It is the highestgeographical location in the Europe.The community of village Goristsikhe, under leadership and blest ofStephantsminda and Khevi eparchy, bishop Jehudiel and supported by Ilia O.Eloshvili, decided rehabilitation of the lapsed church after Golden-Saint Father(Okros Mamawminda) rudiments. For the restoration and preparation, the Insitute ofGeorgian and Caucasian Studies in 2009, made the archeological excavations andmeasure off (Dr. Malkhaz Datukishvili and Dr. Nodar Bakhtadze). We introduceyou preliminary results of the extremely trustworthy monument.The complex of Golden-Saint Father (Okros Mamawminda), as it seems,represented powerful centre of Christian culture of Khevi (one of the importanthistorical region of Georgia) inhabitants in the middle ages. Currently localcommunity, which gathers three villages, worships the temple: Goristsikhe,Pkhelshe and Tkarsheti. They celebrate it in 13 th week after Easter. The templestands out for it natural allocation: it built in the top gorge crossed by Tergi river andit brooks and before destroyed it seemed more naturally inserted the picturesquelandscape – on the background of the Caucasian snowy mountain range and alpinevalleys.66
