Ordinal Numbers<br />
I numeri ordinali indicano una particolare posizione in una serie di elementi (i.e. first, second, third,<br />
etc.). Hanno valore di aggettivo e precedono i sostantivi che vanno a modificare. Possono riferirsi a<br />
grandezza, importanza, cronologia, ecc.<br />
La maggior parte dei numeri ordinali si forma aggiungendo il suffisso -th al numero cardinale.<br />
four → fourth<br />
eleven → eleventh<br />
The seventh annual meeting of the Association will be held in New York, August 23-26.<br />
Alcuni numeri ordinali hanno uno spelling irregolare.<br />
