all’arte totale: pittura, scultura, video e fotografia
digitale accostandosi alla natura con spirito scientifico
e magico d’artista antropologo. Magicien de la terre (
mago della terra) sa interpretare i molteplici messaggi
del bosco, i suoni d’acqua del torrente, lasciandovi incisi
nei massi le tracce e i simboli del passaggio evocativo
dell’uomo, adottando il linguaggio primordiale e
attualissimo delle incisioni rupestri.
Il naturalismo di Benaglia percorre magistralmente i
sentieri impervi dell’arte povera di Penone, Kounellis,
Beujs... dando origine ad un’arte di altissima qualità artigianale,
associata e veicolata con i più moderni mezzi
di comunicazione: grafica computer, fibre ottiche, plexiglas
e moderni materiali industriali. Il suo universo
creativo esprime appieno un concetto di sacralità e libertà
globalmente riconosciuto. Secondo le note affermazioni
di Picasso. “Io non cerco, trovo” messa in pratica
dai dadaisti, Benaglia ritrova e scopre nella natura
gli elementi primari: l’albero (della vita), le pietre (del
cammino dell’acqua), i legni fossilizzati o corrosi dalle
formiche e sa costruire con loro un universo parallelo,
quello dell’arte, in continua metamorfosi… Cesare
Benaglia, artista di sostanza naturale, ha scoperto in
anni d’intenso lavoro artigianale i contenuti e i motivi
espressi di un’arte originale e senza recessioni. Benaglia
ha trovato nel naturale lo spirito di libertà e la sacralità
dell’universo vegetale e animale, connotandoli con i
segni e i contrassegni d’arte della creatività dell’essere
umano. Le sue opere, vere proiezioni scultoree, sono
distribuite nei boschi vicini a Valbrembo dove osservano
il mimetismo e partecipano alle mutazioni della natura.
Come nel parco giochi di Ossanesga o nei campi
della Capra le sculture collocate all’aperto assumono
l’aspetto di megalitiche installazioni e costituiscono nel
contempo i segnali percettivi di un’aggiornata contemporaneità
estetica. Cesare Benaglia rifugge da una
spontaneità di metodo, ha carpito al lavoro artigianale
il rigore esecutivo e la percezione tecnica. Cesare Benaglia
è esecutore di opere che si valgono di assemblages
di forme naturali e tecnologiche, e che esprimono
risultati di grande professionalità e mestiere nel rispetto
totale dell’ambiente, rinnovando i riti e i miti dell’arte.

total art: painting, sculpture, video and digital photography
approaching nature with a scientific and magic spirit
of an anthropologist artist. Magicien de la terre (magician
of the earth) can interpret the many messages of the woods,
the water sounds of the river, leaving engraved on the
stones the traces and the symbols of the evocative transition
of the man, adopting the primordial and still current language
of primordial rock engravings.

paths of the arte povera by Penone, Kounellis, Beujs...
Giving birth to an art of the highest hand-crafted quality,
associated and conveyed to the most modern means of
communication: computer graphics, fiber optics, plexiglas
and modern industrial materials. His creative universe
fully expresses a globally recognized concept of sacredness
and freedom. According to the well known Picasso’s statements
“I do not seek, I find” put into practice by dadaists,
Benaglia finds and discovers the primary elements in nature:
the tree (of life), the stones (of the journey of water),
the woods fossilised or corroded by ants and he manages to
build up a parallel universe with them, the art world, in
a constant metamorphosis… Over years of intense handcrafted
work, Cesare Benaglia, artist of natural substance,
discovered the contents and the reasons expressed in an art
which is original and without recessions. Benaglia found
in the nature the spirit of freedom and the sanctity of plant
and animal universes, characterizing them with the art
signs and markings of the human being’s creativity. His
works, real sculptural projections, are distributed in the
woods near Valbrembo where they observe the mimetism
and participate to the changes of nature. As in the playground
of Ossanesga or in the fields of Capra, the sculptures
placed outdoors take on the appearance of megalithic
installations and at the same time they are the perceptive
signals of an up to date contemporary aesthetics. Cesare
