LABORATORI
La prima immagine è stata scattata nello studio
di pittura ricavato nel sottotetto di casa nostra: la
superficie di cento metri quadrati era illuminata
da un lucernario e da una gran finestra a nord,
con la luce ideale per dipingere. Vi lavorai per
diversi anni. Ora il mio studio è al piano terra
e ultimamente, con le modifiche apportate per
poter avere il massimo della luce, è diventato anch’esso
un ambiente ideale per il lavoro, essendo
anche fresco d’estate: vi ho allestito uno spazio
espositivo dove le opere finite si trovano in bella
vista, per poterle visualizzare con agio.
La seconda immagine è stata scattata nel laboratorio
di scultura: l’ambiente ereditato da mia
madre dove, sin da quando avevo dieci anni, lavoravo
come falegname insieme a mio nonno;
ora è fondamentale per la mia attività di scultore.
Ormai tutto il suo spazio è riempito all’inverosimile:
anche se complessivamente ha una superficie
di 300 metri quadrati e tutti affermano che sia
grandissimo, io lo vedo diversamente.
Nella terza immagine sono al computer, mentre
sto realizzando l’ultimo lavoro dedicato ai “Trittici”.
Un ambiente dove sono custoditi documenti
e l’archivio personale di tutta la mia attività
artistica.
STUDIOS
The first picture was taken in my own attic and
painting studio: its 100 square-metre surface was
enlightened by a skylight and a big window on
the North, where I have worked under the best
light for several years.
My studio is in the low ground now, and it has
become an ideal and fresh place in the summer,
thanks to all the improvements to get the necessary
light. I’ve added an exhibition-space to it, where
the finished works can be admired quietly.
The second picture was taken in the sculpting studio:
the setting used to be my mother’s and I’ve
been working there as a carpenter with my grandfather
ever since I was 10 years old. This experience
has proved to be pivotal for my sculpting activity,
and the whole place is loaded at the moment. Even
though its surface is 300 square metres wide and
everyone finds it huge, I don’t really agree.
In the third picture, I am at the computer creating
my last masterpiece dedicated to the “ trittici”. A
place where documents and the whole archives of
my personal artistic activity are kept.
